Abstract
:
The main objective of conducting research is to determine the rate of insulin resistance in individuals not infected with diabetes in the Jeddah area using the equation Bricegin. To achieve this goal were collected a sample of 237 healthy individuals randomly from 6 health centers represent the six health areas in Jeddah. Were identified as blood pressure measurements and anthropometric measurements and collecting blood and urine samples of people which are still fasting. Were measured glucose and insulin levels and fat (including cholesterol and tri-fat) and free fatty acids in most of the blood samples drawn. However, it unfortunately shows a very high level of sugar in the blood boring ≥ 7 / l to 108 people out of the total sample also found that the proportion of high cholesterol in the blood exceeded 40% of the total number and nearly half of the participants in the study were obese. Therefore, it is supposed to gather more samples to compensate for the lack of output and access to the total number of persons participating to more than 200 people. We hope we can overcome these constraints during the second phase of research with the permission of God.
