Abstract
:
The present study was conducted on twenty patients in the age range 25-45 years were selected from the outpatient clinic of psychiatric department. They were divided into two groups, group A which compromised 10 patients received Imipramine (Tofranil) antidepressant drug and group B compromised 10 patients received Maprotiline (Ludiomil) anti depressant drug.This study was performed to assess the effect of antidepressant drugs on the gingival and periodontal status. The results revealed that the antidepressant drugs affect the dental and paradontal tissues in varying degrees of intensity, by clinical and radiographic assessment.
