Abstract : Summary (Not more than 200 worlds) It is axiomatic that the world live in the age of knowledge and its economics. So, it became apparent that countries and organizations have to commit themselves to transform and satisfy the requirements of the knowledge age. Universities are the homeland of knowledge and they are also the most important engines for its development and enhancement in all areas of scientific concern, especially, science and technology. Furthermore universities are the lighthouses for scientific creativity and the most important means for society progress. Accordingly, universities cannot become static organizations that do not commit themselves to continuous development, on the contrary, universities should always endeavor to contemporaries and adopting developmental initiatives to enhance their performance and achieving continuous improvement in order to update their roles and raise the levels of their internal and external efficiencies. King Abdul Aziz University (KAU) has considered the importance of its development and continuous improvement its objectives to always keep its status, bright image, and its distinctive position among universities. Therefore, KAU established a Vice-Presidency for Development in 1425 A.H. to lead the efforts of change and development. This research has concentrated on reviewing the present developmental state of KAU, restructuring and reorganizations of the Vice-Presidency for Development, and building a conceptual framework for future prospectives of the Vice-Presidency in order to enchance the efforts of development at KAU.
